The 1980 South-East Greenland Expedition
A 7-man team from Queen's University, Belfast, under Alistair Acheson, spent 6 weeks on Prins Christian IV Island in the Cape Farewell region of S Greenland. From their base at Qasigissat, they made 40 ascents of 26 different mountains (of which 20 were said to be unclimbed) of a height of 1,300-1,500m.
