SMC Greenland 1998
The main objective of this team was the first ascent of the S Ridge of Dansketinde, 2,930m (the highest peak in the Staunings Alps), but just before they were to attempt it, 36cm of snow fell, putting paid to any further climbing. However, by then they had already notched up several first ascents on peaks which they named as follows: Hecla, 2,400m (NW face, PD), Tillyrie, 2,415m (SW face, AD), Tupilaq, 2,450m (SW face, TD), Julebuddingtinde, 1,640m (E side, F), and Coltart, 2,395m (PD+).
