Sheffield Batura Expedition
This six-member party made a first ascent of Peak Boom, south of Shani peak. After three attempts, they reached a point loom short of their main objective, the unnamed 5,973m peak in N Batura. Two trekked out up the Hispar and down the Biafo glaciers in 10 days.
