These climbers attempted two new routes on Changabang (6,864m) in the Kumaon Himalaya. Brown and Jefferies attempted the north face and Alder, Beare and Darragh the west ridge, both groups operating independently above ABC. Unfortunately, both were curtailed at c6,200m by a massive storm that dumped 50cm of snow at BC. This also prevented them attempting their secondary objective, a new route on Purbi Dunagiri (6,489m).
