Meru-British Gangotri Expedition
This four-man party had as its objective the fIrst ascent of the E buttress of the Central Peak of Meru in the Gangotri area. After establishing a high camp on the Meru Shivling Col, they pushed on to the rock-step at 6,300m before conditions forced a retreat.
