Lhotse 82

Paul Moores led his well-knit team of four in an attempt on a new route on the W face of Lhotse. Advance base was reached on 7 October (7,864m) but though the climb to the summit was started in cold, clear weather, it had to be abandoned at 8,260m owing to Lhotse's 'little summit storm'.
