Kanchenjunga 1955

Following a reconnaisance expedition in 1954, this party was successful in making the first ascent of Kangchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain. The summit was first reached on 25 May 1955 by Joe Brown and George Band who were followed a day later by Norman Hardie and Tony Streather.
