Cambridge Hindu Kush 1972
The expedition party travelled overland to Afghanistan before using local transport to reach Nuristan and trekking for 70 miles to their base camp in the Schkurigal system on the eastern end of the Hindu Kush range. Here they made ascents of 14 peaks, the majority of which they believe to be previously unclimbed. They also undertook a survey of earthquake activity by interviewing local inhabitants but were unable to complete theiur planned geological survey of the area.
