British Southern Kangerdlugssuaq 2003
A ski-equipped Twin Otter from Iceland landed this team close to their intended base camp at 1,700m in a snow basin at the head of the Nordre and Søndre Parallelgletschers. From here, in a period of settled weather, a number of sledge trips were made to climb mountains in the vicinity. Many of them do not have spot heights marked on maps, and those that do were not all found to be accurate. However, 35 peaks up to 2,600m were climbed, all thought to be fIrst ascents.
