British Hiunchuli
This winter expedition planned to acclimatise on the 'trekking peak' of Tharpu Chuli, 5,550m, and then make the first ascent of a couloir line on the N side of Hiunchuli, 6,441 m. They were thwarted by deep unconsolidated snow on both peaks, with very low temperatures and strong winds higher up, so failed to get above 5,300m. However, they found (and photographed) footprints of a "yeti" leading into a cave at 5,500m. The yeti was not at home when they visited the cave.
