British Chamar
The first party to climb this 7,178m peak in the Sringi Himal of West Nepal was from New Zealand, but their ascent is not recognised by the Nepalese authorities. This team hoped to make the first British (2nd overall) ascent, but porter problems extended the walk-in by a full week, and then the route proved to be much longer than had been anticipated. As a result the highest point reached was 5,500m.
