British Admiral Peak
This team arrived in Base Camp a mere 15 hours after leaving London, to find that their intended route had already been climbed by a CIS party. Any alternative would have involved many days of big wall artifIcial climbing for which they were not prepared, so they decided to repeat the route. McAdie, Davis and Hadwin achieved the first direct British ascent of the 5,090m mountain by means of the NE spur/E ridge.
