Army East Greenland 1968
In early June 1968, an advance party made their way to Kristian Gletscher, 100 miles north of Kulusuk on the east coast of Greenalnd. They were followed later in the month by the bulk of the party. Over the course of July and August, the party made ascents of 21 peaks. In the course of the expedition, Beaton and Lochnaw yr both broke an ankle, with Beaton being evacuated to the coast and Lochnaw yr being treated in camp.
