Anglo-Welsh Tien Shan
This team had hoped to make first (British) ascents of several peaks from the North Inylchek glacier but were beaten by a combination of weather, dangerous snow conditions and sickness. However, they climbed Diki Peak (4,832m) and reached 4,700m on Byankol (5,841m) and 5,300m on Edelweiss/Valikhanov (c6,000m).
