American-British Pumori (7145m) Expedition

The two-man British team operating independently under Sandy Allan climbed the S face of Pumori by a steep ice couloir, gaining the crest of the SW ridge just below the summit. Six bivouacs (14-19 October). A new and technically difficult route, alpine-style.
