Oxford Expedition to Peru
The aim of the Expedition was to produce geological maps on a scale of 1:10000 of small sections of the lima segment of the Coastal Batholith of Peru. In this the expedition was successful, also taking rock samples from various locations to accurately label their maps on return to the UK. Their report contains early, simplified sketch maps.
