Oksfjordjokulen Sheffield University Expedition
Eight graduates and four students undertook an extensive survey of the Oksfjordjokulen ice-caps and of the 'Fall-Jokul' (detached glacier cones), in particular their geomorphological impact. The head of the Jokul Fjord in the Troms District of N Norway was described by Kennedy in Peaks, Passes and Glaciers (1862) as 'one of the strangest glaciers in the world'.
