Manchester University Expedition to Shira Plateau
This party conducted botanical fieldwork (distribution of giant groundsel - Dendrosenecio Johnstonii - and regeneration of Phillipia Trinera after burning), collected small mammals and made a census of birds on the Shira Plateau, on the W slopes of Kilimanjaro, which was climbed by way of the (now destroyed) Arrow Glacier Hut.
