This nine-member team which met with daunting administrative difficulties, achieved their objective of exploring and surveying 'the world's largest under- ground river' on their second visit. They accurately located the cave entrance by Global Positioning System and witnessed, at considerable risk, 'the third biggest chamber in the world fill to the roof in the most spectacular flood ever'.
